Joi Gilliam possesses all-embracing grooming in respective humanistic discipline, including dance, field of operations, painting, and poetry, as comfortably as music. After falling out of college in order to invalidate social ossification, she bounced round the country for several years piece of writing verse and look for a book take. The handle finally materialized when she met producer Dallas Austin, wHO had worked with such artists as TLC, Boyz II Men, and Another Bad Creation. Her debut album, 1994's The Pendulum Vibe, reflects her admiration for the retro sounds of Lenny Kravitz; Amoeba Cleansing Syndrome followed in 1996.
