Rockaway, NJ's Royden formed following the dissolution of My Cousin Ray, a local band singer Treebo, drummer Nick, and bassist Kerry had antecedently been performing in together. Demos recorded near the end of that group's life garnered eleventh hour attention from a local indie, so the terzetto distinct to put a band back together to outlet euphony through the label. Guitarist Tim united up in January 2004 as the stripe, straight off dubbed Royden, entered the studio for a calendar week to churn out the debut EP of the guys' punk-hardcore-metal concoction. Best Friends Our Worst Enemies appeared that May to the delight of their local picture. The stripe toured just about the East Coast and Midwest with second guitar player Frank Rosania on board, only upon his subsequent going, Justin Sherwood signed on. They continued touring end-to-end summer 2005, and by fall Royden had inked a make do with California's Hopeless Records, which reissued their EP in April 2006. Spring and summertime were spent on headlining dates as well as possible action slots for bands like Showbread and Action Action.
