The old frontwoman for the acclaimed indie pop jazz grouping Crowsdell, singer/songwriter Shannon Wright was born and embossed in Jacksonville, FL. A product of the area's prosperous all-ages yob scenery, she formed Crowsdell with bassist Alice Paul Howell and drummer Laurie Anne Wall, debuting in 1995 with the underground ducky Dreamette and curtly later relocating to New York City.
