Variety reports that it is expected that 'Transformers' star Anthony Anderson volition supercede Martin after this season.
Martin has starred in nine seasons of 'Law & Order'.
He is due to shoot one more episode before going away the series.
Martin is put to play Marvin Gaye in a new flick about the shoemaker's last old age of the soul legend's life.
'Sexual Healing' will story Gaye's self-imposed expatriation in Belgium and his turn back to the big time with the serve of booster Freddy Cousaert (James Gandolfini).
Cinematography is due to start in April.
