Based in Belgium, Psamim is an corps de ballet of squeeze box with strings that performs a musical blend of original tunes and klezmer classics. Psamim includes illustrious singer Zahava Seewald and musicians Martin Weinberg (accordion), Renaud Lhonest (violin), and Joanna Samek (viola). Formed in 1992, the first gear distributed recording of Psamim came out in 1999 on the Tzadik pronounce. This beautiful album, Abi Gezint!, consists of special subservient arrangements except for troika tunes that Seewald sings during. By this fourth dimension, the original musicians in Psamim were coupled by cellist Fabienne VanDenDriesche and bassist Walter Popeliers, with a guest appearance of percussionist Philippe de Jagere, and the violist had changed to Tobias Holtiegel.
