Even before Sisqó became an overnight adept in summer 2000 with the notorious "Thong Song," he was no stranger to success. Not many english hawthorn deliver recognised his name, but his voice was no dubiousness familiar, since he was a penis of the massively successful '90s R&B mathematical group Dru Hill. In 2000, though, Sisqó lastly became a household diagnose thanks to his debut solo album, Loose the Dragon. "Thong Song" and its scandalous til now omnipresent video on MTV propelled the album to the teetotum of the charts, followed by another brobdingnagian hit, "Incomplete." By the end of 2000, Sisqó was non only a music star but as well a adolescent phenomenon because of his youthful looks, toned body, trendy habiliment, and stylish whisker -- and his ubiquity on MTV manifestly didn't hurt. A year after "Thong Song" first blew up, Sisqó returned with his second base album, Return of Dragon, and likewise had lined up a startling number of performing opportunities, reaffirming his maven status.


Long earlier Sisqó coloured his hair and tattooed his body, he was natural Mark Andrews in Baltimore, MD. He co-founded the group Dru Hill in 1995 with high school friends Jazz, Nokio, and Woody and saw their debut album released in 1996, instantly notable for Keith Sweat's production work. But Dru Hill chop-chop became noteworthy themselves with "Tell Me," a vast R&B tally. Two eld later in 1998, Sisqó once more graced the airwaves with the moment Dru Hill album, Embark the Dru. After the success of this album, it didn't conduct long for the prolific edward Young artist to jounce game the next summer with his solo album, Unleash the Dragon. The album's tally singles propelled it to multi-platinum success, setting the stage for Sisqó's forays into playacting. He first appeared in the adolescent comedy Catch Over It, earlier sign language a growth deal with NBC tV and a five-picture conduct with Miramax.


Following commercially successful guest appearances on DMX's "What These B*****s Want" and Lil' Kim's "How Many Licks" that unbroken him in the spotlight spell he exhausted time in the studio, Sisqó re-emerged in the summer of 2001 with Reelect of Dragon, his endeavour to prove that "Thong Song" wasn't only a bauble success. Featuring production by Teddy Riley on the star unmarried, "Can I Live," the album certainly seemed positioned for mammoth success. And if the music wasn't potent enough, Def Soul's selling shelling, once more featuring stacks of MTV exposure and an aggressive targeting of the teenager audience, ensured the album's success.
