Production issues delay Coldplay tour

Coldplay have delayed their US tour because of unspecified problems with the production.

The band issued a statement apologising to fans, admitting "that the show simply won't be ready" in time.

Scheduled gigs in London, Barcelona and New York later this month will go ahead as planned.

The tour was originally supposed to start in Philadelphia on June 29. It will now kick off in Los Angeles on July 14.

All the cancelled dates have been re-arranged for later in the year.
