Jared Padalecki - Report - Horror Hunk Padalecki Ends Engagement

HOUSE OF WAX star JARED PADALECKI has called off his engagement to longtime girlfriend SANDRA MCCOY, according to new reports.

The hunky actor proposed to his sweetheart in March (08), but U.S. tabloid the Star reports the romance has since cooled.

A source tells the publication, "Now that Jared is starring in Friday the 13th he's starting to see that his career could really take off and he doesn't want a wife to hold him back from becoming a major star.

"He's really ambitious and wants to be very successful. He's been telling everyone, `There's more to life than relationships and I want to be single.'"

Actress MCCoy has reportedly already moved out of the Los Angeles home she shared with Padalecki.

The source says, "Sandra is devastated. She really didn't see it coming."
